Montreal, June 29, 2026. – Alex Tagliani and the EHR team competed last weekend in the fourth round of the 2026 NASCAR Canada season at Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. They left Riverside feeling they missed out on a great opportunity after showing race-winning pace in the closing stages before mechanical issues brought their charge to an end.

Following the cancellation of qualifying due to weather conditions, the # 3 car started from 12th on the grid, with the starting order determined by practice times.

Throughout the opening 100 laps, Tagliani struggled with a car that suffered from mid-corner understeer before transitioning into oversteer on corner exit, making it difficult to maintain a competitive pace.

During the first scheduled pit stop, the EHR crew made significant chassis adjustments that immediately improved the balance of the #3 car. Tagliani then began an impressive comeback, climbing to eighth place before the second and final pit stop on lap 200.

Once again, the team's adjustments proved highly effective, transforming the car into one of the fastest on the track. Over the final 100-lap stint, Tagliani consistently posted some of the fastest lap times, demonstrating that the #3 car had everything it needed to contend for the lead.

Unfortunately, a power steering failure, combined with the need to replace the alternator belt, forced the team into an extended repair in the garage. The lengthy stop cost the #3 car 15 laps, ending any hopes of capitalizing on the outstanding speed it had shown in the closing stages of the race.

“It was a shame for the entire team that we couldn’t start the race with the pace we had at the end,” said Tagliani. “Not having the opportunity to fight at the front with a car capable of winning is disappointing. We missed an opportunity to show what we were capable of”, he adds.

Despite the disappointing result, the team leaves Riverside encouraged by the speed it found as the race progressed and now shifts its focus to this weekend's event at Autodrome Montmagny, where EHR will look to build on the lessons learned at Riverside and contend for the victory.
